Holiday Card Contest returns for a sixth year

Holiday Card Contest returns for a sixth year

For the sixth year, Grants Pass School District 7 is holding a districtwide art contest to select the artwork for holiday cards.

Each year, kindergarten through twelfth-grade students create beautiful holiday card designs using pencils, paint, markers, and more. Designs focus on the spirit and beauty of the season (holidays or winter). Pre-measured submission sheets are available at each school and are also attached for your reference. Card designs must follow the contest guidelines below and be submitted to your school no later than Friday, November 7, 2025.

Winners will be selected in the following categories:

  • K-1
  • 2-3
  • 4-5
  • 6-8
  • 9-12
  • People’s choice (K-5 & 6-12)

Contest Guidelines:

  1. The contest is open to any student in grades K-12 in the Grants Pass School District.
  2. Drawings must be nonsectarian and not contain specific religious references. Artwork must be original. Designs cannot contain misspellings or copyrighted cartoon characters/material.
  3. Drawings should not contain anything related to alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drugs, violence, or gang membership.
  4. Artwork, including any borders, should not be larger than 4.5” x 6.5” inches. Students may use the attached entry form or measure on their own paper.
  5. Any medium is accepted – pencil, crayon, paint, computer, etc.
  6. Do not mount the artwork on cardboard or use matting.
  7. On the back of the entry form, please PRINT the full name of the student artist, their grade level, the name of their school, and the name of their teacher (K-5) or art teacher if applicable (6-12).

Please note: This is a holiday card contest - the contest is not designed to promote the view of any one religion. Students of all religions may participate. Cards should focus on the spirit and beauty of the season (holidays or winter). If you have any questions, please contact our Communications Specialist, Kristin Hosfelt.

We look forward to seeing what students create this year!
