Dear GPHS families,

Welcome to Grants Pass High School, home of the Caveman! I’m Principal Michele Napier. I was born and raised in Grants Pass and am a 1993 GP Grad.  My husband and I have one son. I’ve worked in the Grants Pass School District, specifically Grants Pass High School for 25 years. I am a former Health & PE and AVID teacher.  Something fun/interesting to know about me is that summer is my favorite season and enjoy spending time at Lake of the Woods.

At GPHS, our goal is for students to feel safe and welcome and we hope they find a class or a program or an activity that they are passionate about and enjoy participating.  Our goal is to prepare students to be college and career ready and have the skills and confidence to accomplish their goals after high school, whether that be college, trade school, military, work force, etc.  We have so many great things to offer here at GPHS, from athletics, to a wide variety of AP and CTE courses, to over 40 clubs to choose from, to a fantastic music and fine arts program and more.  There is something for everyone here!

This year, we will continue to focus on student engagement in the classroom by focusing on routines, planning lessons with WICOR and relationships.  We believe that communication and collaboration are key to a successful school year, and we encourage parents and families to stay involved through ParentSquare, attending events and communicating with your students teachers and counselor and most importantly talking with your student about their day.
