Athletics Office

Spring Season Specifics

  • Practices will go from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday (Late February - Mid May)
  • JV and Varsity Meets are typically on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 7:00 pm 
  • Varsity Meets are typically on Saturdays (Schedule TBA)
  • There are 2 Teams (no cuts) Top 3 athletes in each Event are Varsity, all the Rest are JV
    • Sprinting Events: 100, 200, 400, 4x100, 4x400

    • Distance Events: 800, 1500, 3,000 (4x400)

    • Jumping Events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and Pole Vault

    • Throwing Events: Discus, Shot Put, and Javelin

  • We have 2-3 Frosh/Soph Meets a Year where the top 2 or 3 9th or 10th graders compete at a High Level Meet
  • Varsity roster is evaluated and adjusted weekly based on performances
  • JV District Meet = Friday May 3rd (Site TBA)  
  • Varsity District Meet = Thursday May 9th and Saturday May 11th (site TBA)
    • Top 2 Athletes in the SWC District Meet Qualify for State at Hayward Field 

  • OSAA 6A State Meet = May 16th (travel day), May 17th (Day 1), and May 18th (Day 2)
    • Top 8 Athletes that Score at State Meet = “All State” and Score Team Points for a Trophy

    • Top 4 Teams at State Earn a State Trophy 

  • Lettering Process = 10 points scored in Varsity Meets and/or at least 1 point scored at the SWC District Meet

  • Parent Meeting (TBA) - We will review Meet Schedules, Important Details, and Answer Questions early in the Spring

Checklist to Participate

  1. Sign-Up on Family ID. Must have a Current Physical and in Good Academic Standing 

  2. Spring Season is $75 unless it’s an Athlete’s 3rd Sport

  3. Wear Workout Clothes and training shoes suitable for the Weather (water bottle recommended) 
    We do have a “shoe bin” full of Event Specific Footwear for Athletes that might need them

  4. During Spring, Athletes will purchase a Player Package for $40 (includes a Team Shirt and Sweatshirt)

  5. Athletes must have a pair of Black Athletic Pants/Tights for warm-ups

  6. Athletes will purchase their own competitive shorts once Spring Season Starts (unless they already have a pair)

  7. Athletes will go to school, remain in good academic standing, and follow Team and School Rules
